Nested Naturals SUPER Greens

I feel the first thing I hear when its cold and flu season is… “better get on your Vitamin C and greens!”.

Well, Nested Naturals is here to help you out with that! This is a dietary supplement, and companies cannot make claims on your health as the FDA does not regulate supplements. However, per the bottle, this supplement “energizes you with a dose of raw greens, enzymes, probiotics, fiber, phytonutrients, and serves as a good source of the immune supporting antioxidant Vitamin C”.

You are instructed to add 1 scoop to 8 ounces of water, milk or add to a smoothie.

I had a hard time getting a pic of the label for where the letters would be clear so see the website for all the details. This supplement is Organic, Non GMO. Vegan and has a lifetime guarantee.

1 scoop is 30 calories, 5 grams of carbohydrate, 2 grams of fiber.
There is a “alkalizing blend ” which includes things like Barley grass, alfalfa grass, wheatgrass and spirulina. There is a “fiber blend” which includes things like apple, rice brand. There is a “antioxidant/immune blend” which includes things like cocoa powder, beet root, acerola extract, Echinacea. There is a “probiotic blend” which includes things like Lactobacillus gasseri, and an enzyme blend which includes things like amylase, lipase (digestive enzymes).

My husband and I have tried It a few several ways – as is with milk, in various smoothies.

The taste is pretty strong so we ended up using only Half scoop in our smoothies. It has a very…well…Green flavor – aka – It tastes essentially how It smells. The chocolate flavor is incredibly mild and It has an overwhelming earthy spinach and spirulina type flavor. It was tolerable at a half scoop in a smoothie filled of fruit and protein powder but even then, the flavor was still detectable.

I like that its organic, low in sugar, and adds Im sure a ton of antioxidants, with digestive enzymes and probiotics. Perhaps if you have a heavily flavored smoothie you can add It in to yours but I truthfully did not like the flavor. That being said…. I would make my husband a smoothie with peanut butter, milk and protein powder and put a 1/2 scoop into his and he states he did not notice the flavor. I tend to be more sensitive to flavors (he Cannot tell the difference between vanilla and sweet cream coffee creamer for example and I can) .

So – take that with a grain of salt. Is It bad? No! It’s not my favorite but an easy way to get in some greens nutrition etc. if you aren’t a super sensitive taster like I am – or if you don’t mind an earth green flavor.

Overall – 3.5 stars/5

DISCLAIMER: I received this to try for free from the company, this is an unbiased review.
